Shipping & Gathering Policy

At BeeSpelled, every candle is hand-poured and packed with care in Calgary, Alberta. Because we work in small batches with natural ingredients, we appreciate your patience as we prepare your ritual tools. We are currently only selling locally at markets and with local delivery or pickup. 

Processing Times

  • All orders are processed and packed within 2 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) before they are shipped or made available for pickup.

  • You will receive a notification email as soon as your order has shipped, complete with tracking details.

Local Calgary Options

For our neighbours in the Calgary area, we are happy to offer local alternatives to traditional shipping:

1. Free Local Pickup (North Calgary)

Save on shipping by picking up your order directly.

  • How it works: Select "Local Pickup" at checkout.

  • Timeline: Once your order is processed (2–5 business days), you will receive a "Ready for Pickup" email containing our specific North Calgary pickup location address, available times, and instructions.

2. Local Calgary Delivery ($5)

Want it brought straight to your door? We offer local delivery within Calgary city limits for a flat fee of $5 on all orders over $75.

  • How it works: If your order qualifies and your address is within our delivery zone, this option will appear at checkout. Deliveries are typically made on Tuesdays and Fridays following your 2-5 day processing window.

  • Payment information (processed securely through encrypted third-party payment gateways; BeeSpelled never stores your credit card details).

We use your information strictly to support your experience with us:

  • To process, ship, and deliver your ritual tools.

  • To communicate with you regarding your order tracking or customer service needs.

  • If you opt-in to "Join the Hive," to send you occasional updates, ritual ideas, and exclusive launches (you can unsubscribe at any time).
     

3. Consent & Protection

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, or arrange for a delivery/local pickup, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties. We only share your data with trusted services necessary to run our shop (such as our e-commerce platform, shipping carriers like FedEx/UPS, and our secure payment processors).
 

4. Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses cookies to enhance your browsing experience (such as keeping items in your shopping cart). We may also use basic analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with our site so we can improve our digital layout.

Returns and Reciprocity

At BeeSpelled, every candle is handcrafted as a tool for your daily ritual. Because our offerings are created with clean, natural ingredients and infused with intention, we handle our return process with care and fairness. Please review our guidelines below:

Eligibility for Returns

  • Original Condition: To be eligible for a full refund, your item must be unused, unlit, and in the exact condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging.

  • No Burnt Candles: Once a candle’s wick has been lit, it enters your personal ritual space and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded under any circumstances.

  • Partial Refunds: In certain situations, only partial refunds may be granted (if applicable). This includes items with signs of use, items that are not in their original condition, or items that are damaged/missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

Return Shipping

  • Shipping costs for returning your item are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

  • We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and we are not responsible for returns lost in transit.

Items Damaged in Shipping

If your product arrives broken or damaged due to rough transit, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at christa@beespelled.ca with a photo of the damaged item and packaging so we can swiftly send you a replacement.
